  • The term “Shellac” is a technology that was invented be Creative Nail Design in 2010.
  • The shellac formula is thin and flexible like nail polish but provides protection with a high gloss shine that resists dullness and chipping.

  • Shellac is a mixture between gel nails and regular nail polish however it’s not thick and heavy like gel or acrylics.
  • Shellac nails resists chips, scratches and smudges and can last up to two weeks.
  • A shellac manicure starts out like a traditional manicure, your nails are shaped and filed and your cuticles are pushed back.

  • A base coat is applied followed by two coats of shellac and then a top coat to finish, then a UV light is used to cure each coat.
  • No dry time is required so don’y worry about smudging your nails.
  • Shellac nails are removed by wrapping the nail in acetone either with special nail wraps or with a cotton ball soaked in acetone.
